Grown in the remote highlands of Yunnan, near the city of Pu'er and close to the Laos border, this coffee is a vibrant expression of one of China’s most promising specialty origins. Known traditionally for world-class teas, this region is now producing exceptional coffees — thanks in part to the work of Tian Cai and his cousin Tang, who manage farming and post-harvest operations for Yunnan Coffee Traders.
This natural-processed lot is rich with tropical flavors: pineapple and mango brightness, papaya softness, and a caramel-like sweetness that rounds out the cup. It’s a fruit-forward, expressive profile with a clean finish and excellent balance.Tian Cai and his family are part of a new generation of Chinese coffee producers focused on quality, sustainability, and biodiversity.This coffee is a standout representation of China’s emerging coffee potential — tropical, transparent, and full of heart.
